Big Brothers Big Sisters Northeast Ohio

Mission:

To foster the development of children in reaching their highest potential as responsible and caring adults. We do this by providing quality volunteer mentoring relationships with a supportive adult, and educational programs which are supervised by our professional staff.

Vision:

Guided by our mission and core values, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio will be the premier mentoring organization for children. We will establish high standards and programs to meet the constantly changing needs of children. We will accomplish our goals throughout the organization and will be the model against which other organizations gauge their success. We will work together to create a legacy of services to children and, in so doing, recognize and celebrate the contributions of clientele, staff, volunteers, Board members, donors and other funders.

It is an honor to work for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio.  Each day, I am overwhelmed by the amount of  joy and love the children have for their Big Brother/Big Sister.  I am proud to say that all fifty-three of the children I have matched have changed for the better because a volunteer has made a big difference in their lives. Please help us continue to make big differences in these children's lives by donating today. Your donation helps match a child in need of a mentor. Every child deserves a positive role model in their life.

Thank You for your consideration.

Dear Friends,
I have the honor of working at a job where I can see the positive impact that mentoring has on the children we serve.  In my job specifically, I see the positive difference our high school students have on the youth they work with each week in the After School Mentoring Programs.  I see children light up when their high school "big" shows up to spend time with them. I hear them telling their "big" how much they mean to them.  I also get to see the positive impact the program has on the volunteers who are enrolled in the After School Programs.  Many of our volunteers tell me that they got more out of being in the program than their little did.  Our After School Programs touch the lives of all those involved.  In March we have our Bowl For Kids Sake Fundraiser with three different dates and sites.  My personal goal for my team is to raise $1,000 towards this event. Please consider making a donation of any amount in support of my team.  Thank you so much! Tia

Kristin M. Llewellyn
Hello Everyone!

My name is Kristin Llewellyn, I am an After School Coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio.  I consider myself to be very lucky, as I work on-site each day facilitating our mentoring programs by providing direct service to our youth & our teen mentors.  Our matches work each week  during our meeting times towards their Little's goals by participating in asset building activities that enhances their Little's academics, as well as their social skills.  Our matches look forward to the BBBS After School Program each week because it is a time for them to bond, learn & have fun!  I feel so passionate towards what I do because I can see first hand the change, and all of the good that myself and my organization do.  I see results that words cannot describe, and it is very moving to be part of something much bigger than myself.  Next month BBBS hosts a fundraiser called, Bowl For Kids Sake at three different locations throughout Northeast Ohio.   My team goal is to raise $500 for this event.  Please consider making a donation of any amount in order to support my team.  Thank you for your time and generousity!

Warm Regards-

Kristin Llewellyn

Diane (Dee) Marjenin
As an after-school coordinator with Big Brothers Big Sisters, I have witnessed the capacity of high school students to build and grow mentoring relationships with elementary, intermediate, and middle school children in schools scattered throughout Lake and Geauga Counties.  These volunteers, or bigs, commit themselves freely to weekly service in efforts to nurture the important academic, social, and behavioral skills necessary to insure their littles' success in their classrooms and in their homes.  Above all, these volunteers are establishing friendships and creating lasting memories.

You can help to insure their success and show your support.  PLEASE consider a donation to our 2014 Bowl for Kid's Sake.

Thank you for your kind and generous consideration.
